Terms of Service

Welcome to VEA — Veterinary Exam Assistant. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VEA platform, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Platform") provided by Veterinarian Electronic Assistant, Inc. ("VEA," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to enter into binding agreements to use the Platform. If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@veaforvets.com.

You may use the Platform solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
• Use the Platform to transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content

VEA is a clinical workflow and documentation tool. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary judgment. All clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the licensed veterinarian. VEA does not provide veterinary advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations independent of the supervising veterinarian's direction.

All content, features, and functionality of the Platform — including software, text, graphics, and data — are owned by VEA or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Access to certain features requires a paid subscription. Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in your subscription agreement. VEA reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You are responsible for ensuring that any patient or client data you input into the Platform complies with applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA where applicable.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@veaforvets.com.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Virginia.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
